OUR BELIEFS ARE LOCATED BELOW

Cornerstone Ministries Association is made up of multi-cultural group of people from different backgrounds who believe in the fullness of Pentecost for today and the fullness of God's Word.

We have been in existence since 1986. Through the Holy Spirit's direction and with the help of others, the full ministry came into existence. Our call / purpose is to bring restoration to hurting individuals, Ministers, Ministries and Churches.

Today with the guidance of the Holy Spirit and anointing we are still moving forward reaching those who have been hurt, where seemly there is no hope and those who struggle with forgiveness from those who have hurt hem and those within Churches where strife and division developed.

God has called us to bring hope and restoration, for in Christ all things are possible. WE AE A PENTECOSTAL MINISTRY. For 31 years the Holy Spirit has given us the privilege to minister, restore and to help establish Churches, Ministries and Ministers.

We trust that as you look over our web site you will take time to pray for us, so that we will be able to continue to be a servant to help others, Churches and Ministries.

Mission: To glorify God by proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, for the maturing of the saints and the salvation of the lost.

We will accomplish our mission by being an:

Exalting Ministry
: Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. Psalm 34:3

We are part of a fellowship of Churches, Ministries and Ministers who seek to glorify our God and enjoy Him through:

  • God exalting worship that engages the heart to reach the throne of God
  • God exalting preaching that doesn't compromise the Word of God
  • God exalting prayer that expresses a humble reliance on God alone and prayers that stands in the gap for others.
  • God exalting lives that are empowered by the Holy Spirit to reach souls for Christ and to disciple individuals for Jesus Christ.

Encouraging Individuals, Churches / Ministries: Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let s encourage one another -- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Hebrews 10:25

Equipping People: It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephs. 4:11-13

We believe that to equip the body of Christ, it takes teaching the whole of biblical truths of the faith  (as found throughout the Scriptures) :

Engaging Ministry: He said to them, 'Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.' Mark 16:15

As believers we seek to engage lives throughout the World with the truth and the love of the gospel of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.

Purpose: To Stand up, with the uncompromising message of God's Word; To Hold on, to the message of God's Word by bringing the whole truth of God's Word; To Move out, with the message of God's Word in the power of the Holy Spirit; therefore, showing forth that, "Jesus is the way, the truth and the life." (John 10: 1-6) And to Disciple those we reach for the Glory of God. (Eph. 4:11-13)

WHAT WE BELIEVE!

God

We believe in one God, maker of all things, consisting of the Father, Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit. (II Corinthians 13:14; Matthew 28: 18,19)

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ was born of the virgin Mary, and is true God and true man and revealed God's plan to redeem man. That Jesus Christ, the Word of God become flesh. He is the Savior of the world, who has delivered us from the dominion of sin and reconciled us to God by his death on a cross. He was declared to be Son of God by his resurrection from the dead. He is the head of the church, the exalted Lord, the Lamb who was slain, coming again to reign with God in glory. (John 1:1,2, 14, 18;  Luke 1:35; Galatians 4:4-5; Ephesians 1:7; John 3:14-18; Galatians 3;13-14; Romans 5;3-10; Luke 24;1-3, 25-34; Matthew 28: 5-7,9,10,16,17; I Corinthians 15)

Holy Spirit

We believe in the person of the Holy Spirit, that He is a divine person, possessing all the characteristics and nature of the Trinity, and that He is, in essence, equally God and that He gives to the Church gifts for spiritual governing, direction, insight and for the edification of the Body of Christ. He is the eternal Spirit of God, who is poured out on those who believe as the guarantee of redemption. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit and the gifts as stated in God's Word to be endued with power to be witnesses for Jesus Christ. (Acts 5: 3,4; I Corinthians 12:13,14; Romans 12:4-8; Ephesians 5:18)

Holy Bible

We believe that Bible is the Word of God. It is the supreme and final authority in all manners of faith and practice. That all Scripture is inspired by God through the Holy Spirit for instruction in salvation and training in righteousness. We accept the Scriptures as the Word of God and as the fully reliable and trustworthy standard for Christian faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16,17; II Peter 1:20.21; Jude 3

Salvation

We believe that Salvation is a gift of God brought to man through repentance, and by personal faith  in Jesus Christ. That God offers salvation from sin and a new way of life. That we receive  God's salvation when we repent and accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. In Christ, we are reconciled with God and brought into the reconciliation, to follow Christ and to know the fullness of salvation.(John 3:16-18; Galatians 2:16; Romans 3:23; Romans 5; Romans 6:23; Romans 8:14-16; Romans 10: 9,10; Ephesians 2: 8,9; Philippians 3:4-9; Titus 3;5; I Peter 1:18,19)

The Church

We believe that the church is the assembly of those who have accepted God's offer of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. We believe that the mission of the Church is to proclaim the kingdom of God. That Christ has commissioned the Church to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and teaching them to observe all things he has commanded. Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:35-38

Water Baptism

We believe that water baptism is for believers (submersion) as a sign of their cleansing from sin. Baptism is also a pledge before the Church and others of their covenant with God to walk in the way of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.  (Matthew 28:18-20)

Communion

We believe that the Lord's Supper is a sign by which the Church thankfully remembers the new covenant which Jesus established by this death. In this communion, the Church renews its covenant with God and with each other and participates in the life and death of Jesus Christ, until he comes. I Cor. 11: 23-26

Ministry

We believe that ministry is a continuation of the work of Christ, who gives gifts through the Holy Spirit to believers and empowers them for service in the church and in the world. We also believe that God calls particular persons in the church to specific leadership ministries and offices. All who minister are accountable to God and to the community of faith. (Ephesians 5)

Unity

We believe that the church of Jesus Christ is one body with many members, ordered in such a way that, through the one Spirit, believers may be built together spiritually into a dwelling place for God.(Psalms 133:1; Ephesians 4:3; I Corinthians 3:9 I; Corinthians 12)

Discipleship

We believe that Jesus Christ calls us to discipleship, to take up our cross and follow him. Through the gift of God's saving grace, we are empowered to be disciples of Jesus, filled with his Spirit, following his teachings and his path through suffering to new life. As we are faithful to his way, we become conformed to Christ and separated from the evil in the world. We believe that to be a disciple of Jesus is to know life in the Spirit. As the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ takes shape in us, we grow in the image of Christ and in our relationship with God. The Holy Spirit is active in individual and in communal worship, leading us deeper into the experience of God.(Luke 14:26;  John 8:31; 15:8; II Timothy).

Stewardship

Scriptural giving is one of the fundamentals of the faith.

We believe that everything belongs to God, who calls the church to live in faithful stewardship of all that God has entrusted to us, being faithful and to participate cheerfully from the heart. Malachi 3:8-11; I Corinthians 16:2; II Corinthians 8: 7; 9:7;  Luke 12:42; II Corinthians 6:1; Titus 1:7; I Peter 4;10; Matthew 23: 23.

Restoration / Reconcilation

We believe in the Ministry of Reconciliation (To Restore) individuals, to help bring them back into a relationship and fellowship with God. We believe that in this ministry as His disciples we are to walk and act according to His Word so as that others will see and believe (II Corinthians 5: 16-18; Galatians 6;1-2;  I Corinthians 13; Colossians 3; Philippians).

Christians Hope

We believe that the Christians hope is the imminent personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.   I Thessalonians 4:13-18; II Timothy 4;8; Philippians 3:20,21; I John 3:2) We believe that He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead. He will gather his church, which is already living under the reign of God. We await God's final victory, the end of this present age of struggle, the resurrection of the dead, and a new heaven and a new earth. There the people of God will reign with Christ in justice, righteousness, and peace for ever and ever. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18; II Timothy 4:8; Philippians 3:20,21; I John 3:2; Hebrews 6:2; 9:27; I Corinthians 5:1;John 14:1-6; II Corinthians 5:10; Hebrews 9:10; Romans 14:10,12; II Peter 2:4; )

Christian Lifestyle

We believe that it is the responsibility of believers to be witnesses by their lifestyle and that the Word of God is the measuring rod, that the Christian is to hold to the truth of Scriptures, and to seek to proclaim the Gospel to all mankind. (Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15; Acts 1;3; Romans 10:11-17; Colossians 3; Philippians 2; Ephesians 4)
