The Plan of Salvation:

The Bible tells us in Romans 3;23, that "All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God."  That means that all are sinners, that we are in need of the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact, there are no exceptions to this.

In Romans 5:8, God's Word says, "But God commended His love toward us, in that , while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

In Romans 6;23, God's Word says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the Gift of God is eternal Life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

In regards to the above Scripture, it means unless something is done, those who do not accept Life through Jesus will be eternally lost. God did not leave things there. In II Peter 3:9, God's desire is that  "Not any should perish, but that all should come unto repentance."

In John 3:16, it plainly says, "And God so loved the world (so loved sinners), that He gave His Only begotten Son, that whosoever believes on Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life."

What does it mean to Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ?  In Romans 10:9-10, it says, If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto Righteousness; and with the mouth, confession is made unto Salvation." A point needed, believing is more that just giving mental assent that He is the Son of God. When Scripture speaks of one believing, it simply means that one accepts who Jesus is, which is the Son of God, and what He has done, referring to Jesus dying on the Cross for us (you & me, all sinners) in order to be saved.

The Scripture says, in Ephesians 2: 8.9,  "For by grace are you saved through faith: and that not of yourselves: It is the Gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast."  This means that the Church cannot save you, neither can Water Baptism save, or anything else.

In fact, if you have not already given your heart and life to Jesus Christ. It is time now, it can be done this very moment. Review the above Scriptures and speak them out loud. Believe in the Scriptures and what you say with all your heart.

Prayer: (This prayer is a guideline. You cannot just verbal speak it as it is written and then say I am saved, it must come from your heart, in your own words).

"Dear God in Heaven, I come to you right now as a lost sinner,

I am asking you that you save my soul and cleanse me from my sin, I realize in my heart my need of Salvation, and that Salvation  can only come through Jesus Christ,

I ask you Jesus to forgive me of my sin and I accept that you died for me on the Cross, shedding your blood for me, that it was and is the means of Salvation, for my Redemption,

In obedience to your Word, I confess with my mouth the that God raised Him from the dead, that You have said, that whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:9,10) , Jesus I have called upon your name as you have said and I believe right now, I am saved.

Now, what do you need to do?

Read the Bible Daily (Matthew 4:4,  Jesus said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God."  Read also, II Timothy 2:15.

Pray Daily: Start by thanking God, give Him praise daily. Prayer is communion with God, talking to Him as you would anyone else and when you pray take time to listen, be quite for awhile in your prayers. Here are some Scriptures that will help, read them carefully, Matt. 1:18-19; Mark 11:24; Luke 11:9-10; John 14: 13-14; John 15:7; Psalms 100;

Water Baptism; is significant, after confession of ones sin, one needs to be baptized on water (Immersion)  Water Baptism signifies the death, burial and resurrection. It is an outward act of an inward work, It typifies our death to the old life, with all that was ugly and ungodly and being resurrected into a new life in Christ Jesus.(Romans 6:4)

Attend Church: The Church is the Body of Christ, not a particular building, but actually you are now part of the Body of Christ and JESUS is the Head. It is very important  that you find a good Church to attend.

Disciple: Ask the Pastor of the Church if they have a disciplining class or if there is someone that can disciple you in your new walk with God.
